FOLEY, Elvin - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Veedersburg -- Elvin "Sy" Foley, 69, retired automobile salesman died at 3:20 a.m. Monday at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Danville, Ill. He had been ill one month. Mr. Foley had been a resident of FOuntain County most of his life and had resided on Rt. 2, Veedersburg for last 11 years. He retired in 1962. Born Feb 3, 1901 near Covington, Mr. Foley was the son of John and Anna Warrick Foley. He was married Jan 14, 1926 to Lula Hughes. Surviving in addition to the widow are 10 children: Mrs. Roseanna Maust of Nappanee, Mrs. Marvel Moore of Greencastle, Mrs. Linda Wardield of Waynetown, John Foley of Perrysville, Mrs. Juanita Gillenwaters of Yawakey, W Va and Mrs. Amy Furr, Mrs. Ruth Walton, Mrs. Shriely Riley, Sam Foley and Tom Foley, all of Veedersburg; a sister, Mrs. Veda Graham of Attica; an aunt, Mrs. Hannah Pete of Danville, Ill; 26 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Tuesday at Parham Funeral Home. Other arrangements are incomplete.
